The Central Bank of Ireland’s current Minimum Competency Code (MCC) came into effect on 3rd January 2018 and is linked to the CB(S&E) Act 2013(S.48(1))(Minimum Competency) Regulations 2017. Together the Code and the Regulations replace the pre-existing 2011 Minimum Competency Code. While the foundations of the 2011 version are retained notable additions impact on MiFID firms. This half day training course will help to enable appropriate personnel to plan, record, monitor for MCC compliance for existing personnel and new recruits.

After the completion of this course participants will have an overall understanding of how to comply with the Code. It will enable them to develop procedures for existing employees and new recruits to ensure that they have the appropriate experience and qualifications for dealing with customers or for undertaking the specified functions that are outlined in the Code. It will also help develop a system for ensuring all appropriate records are documented and kept.
