The Central Bank of Ireland’s Minimum Competency Code (MCC) came into effect on 1st December 2011 and introduced the requirement for a specific “ethics module” in complying with CPD requirements. In response to this Compliance Ireland developed a 2 hour Ethics course for regulated financial firms.
This course deals with the following:
- what ethics are
- how to follow the ethical route in a regulated financial firm
- what the Central Bank expects
- how organisations can promote ethical behaviour
- does having ethics pay?
- case studies and practical examples
After completion of this course, participants will have an understanding of the ethical requirements that regulated firms face. The course will also provide a template for firms to roll out an ethics course for their employees to comply with the Minimum Competency Code. There will be a strong emphasis on practical examples and case studies and participants will be able to engage in debate and critical thought on ethics topics.
Who should attend:
- Board Directors
- Compliance Officers
- HR Personnel
- Employees who need to comply with the Minimum Competency Code
